【Award】2026 TSIA Semiconductor Award: Doctoral Students

Recipients of this announcement: current doctoral students in the Department of Chemical Engineering, the Ph.D. Program in Green Materials and Precision Devices, and TIGP for Sustainable Chemical Science and Technology.

Application Period

November 17, 2025

Amount & Awards

1.          Each recipient will receive NTD 80,000 and a trophy. The individual's contributions will be announced to the member companies of the Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association and shared publicly.

2.          Each university may recommend up to 6 doctoral students to the association, with a maximum of 3 recipients per university. A total of 10 recipients will be selected nationwide.

Eligibility

1.          Doctoral students who have passed their qualification exams.

2.          Recommended by their advisor.

3.          Award recipients must personally attend the TSIA General Meeting or Annual Meeting to receive the award. If unable to attend, with the approval of the TSIA Selection Committee and ratification by the Board of Directors, their advisor or the highest R&D supervisor of their unit may attend and accept the award on their behalf.

1.          Application form (Attachment 2).

2.          Recommendation letter (Attachment 3).

3.          Photocopies of both sides of the student ID and ID card (please attach to the application form. To protect personal information, please mark the copies with 'For TSIA Semiconductor Award Application Use Only, Prohibited for Other Purposes').

4.          Academic transcripts for all semester in the doctoral program.

5.          Supporting documents related to outstanding achievements in semiconductor academic research, published papers, inventions, awards, patents, honors, special contributions, or industry-academia collaborations.

6.          ChemE Scholarship Submission Form (Attachment 4, please submit as an Excel file).
