The 8th Annual Bachelor's Thesis Award for the 2023 Academic Year is about to commence. Interested participants, please refer to the attached evaluation criteria, evaluation procedures, and the Bachelor's Thesis Award Section on the school website. Please pay attention to the following key points and schedule:
1. Eligibility:
Current undergraduate students of our university who are the main researchers and authors of the thesis. The main body of the research work of the thesis must be completed during the period of study at our university. For applicants whose thesis is based on collaborative research, specific contributions and responsibilities of each researcher must be explained separately, and signed by all researchers as proof.
2. Department of Chemical Engineering Deadline：2024/4/22 (Mon)
3. Application Process：
Following the application method and thesis format specified in the announcement for the academic year, submit the following documents to the respective department office:
(1) Three copies of the student thesis approved by the oral defense committee (including electronic files and the committee's approval document).
(2) Recommendation letter from the student's thesis advisor (in any format).
4. Evaluation Procedure：
(1) In the first stage, each department selects 20% of the eligible thesis papers for recommendation for the thesis award. However, if the calculation results in fewer than 2 people, up to 2 individuals may be recommended. The list is then submitted to the respective college for the second stage of selection.
(2) In the second stage, each college evaluates and ranks the recommended lists from their departments. They may recommend 1 candidate for the 傅斯年 Award and award several individuals with the Dean's Award or Excellence Award.
(3) In the third stage, the university convenes the "Bachelor's Thesis 傅斯年 Award Evaluation Committee" to evaluate the recommended lists from each college. They will select up to 6 recipients for the 傅斯年 Award and several recipients for the President's Award. The rest will receive the Dean's Award.
(4) Winners will receive certificates, with recipients of the 傅斯年 Award receiving a prize of NT$10,000 each and recipients of the President's Award receiving NT$6,000 each.

According to the evaluation criteria for the Bachelor's Thesis Award, for each undergraduate student thesis submitted for application, the academic advisor within the university can receive a thesis advisory fee of NTD $2000 per thesis, and each oral defense committee member can receive an examination fee of NTD $1000 per thesis. For external members of the oral defense committee, transportation expenses can be provided based on the university's 碩、博士生學位考試審查費、論文指導費、校外委員交通費支給標準.
