Award Amount and Number of Recipients

1.          每名新臺幣8萬元及獎牌1座，並將個人貢獻事蹟公告予臺灣半導體產業協會之會員廠商並發表讓社會知悉。

2.          各校向協會推薦最多6名博士研究生，每校得獎人最多3名，全國共計10名。

1.          Each recipient will receive NTD 80,000 and a trophy. The individual's contributions will be announced to the member companies of the Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association and shared publicly.

2.          Each university may recommend up to 6 doctoral students to the association, with a maximum of 3 recipients per university. A total of 10 recipients will be selected nationwide.

資格

Eligibility

1.          已通過博士資格考之博士班研究生。

2.          經指導教授推薦。

3.          獲獎者須親自出席TSIA會員大會或年會受獎。因故經TSIA遴選委員會同意，理監事會核備，同意由其指導教授或該單位最高研發主管出席，受獎得改由他人代之。

1.          Doctoral students who have passed their doctoral qualifying examinations.

2.          Applicants must be recommended by their dissertation advisor.

3.          Award recipients must attend the TSIA General Meeting or Annual Meeting in person to receive the award. If a recipient is unable to attend, their dissertation advisor or the head of R&D at their institution may accept the award on their behalf, subject to approval by the TSIA Selection Committee and subsequent ratification by the Board of Directors and Supervisors.

Application Documents

※ 申請人請於截止日期前，將下列第1至5項申請文件依序排列，送交至化工二館N204室；另請於同一期限前填妥「獎學金申請提交表單」（附件4），以Excel檔寄至 nichenlee@ntu.edu.tw。

1.          申請表正本（附件2）。

2.          推薦函正本（附件3）。

3.          學生證及身分證正反面影本（請黏貼於申請表內。為保護個資，請自行加註「影本僅限TSIA辦理半導體獎申請使用，禁止其他用途」）。

4.          博士班修習期間成績單正本。

5.          參與半導體學術研究、著作論文、發明成果、獲獎紀錄、專利榮譽、特殊貢獻、產學合作等傑出事蹟之相關佐證資料。

6.          獎學金申請提交表單（如附件4，請以 Excel 檔寄送）。

※ Please submit hard copies of Items 1–5 below, arranged in the listed order, to Room N204, Chemical Engineering Building II, by the application deadline. Please also complete the Scholarship Application Submission Form (Attachment 4) and email the Excel file to nichenlee@ntu.edu.tw by the same deadline.

1.          Original Application Form (Attachment 2).

2.          Original Letter of Recommendation (Attachment 3).

3.          Photocopies of the front and back of both the student ID card and national ID card (please affix the copies to the application form). To protect personal information, please mark each copy with “For TSIA Semiconductor Award application purposes only. Any other use is prohibited.”

4.          Original academic transcript covering all semesters of the doctoral program.

5.          Supporting documents related to outstanding achievements in semiconductor academic research, published papers, inventions, awards, patents, honors, special contributions, or industry-academia collaborations.

6.          Scholarship Application Submission Form (Attachment 4; please email the Excel file).
