      • 再生能源國際供應鏈研究
        我國在2050 年時的電力需求估計將達5,000 億度,為了達成淨零排放的目標,我國正在大規模建置離岸風機以及太陽能光伏面板等再生能源。但是由於台灣地狹人稠,在地再生能源的供給量終究有限,因此,如何從再生能源豐富的地區進口其再生能源,是一件刻不容緩的研發工作。我們建立了一種系統化的分析方式,詳細評估透過各種化學品遠距攜帶再生能源的技術可行性與經濟競爭性,無論是常被提及的氫氣、甲醇、氨、甲基環己烷等,比較相關製程的能耗、碳排、成本、輸儲限制等,系統化地整理出再生能源國際供應鏈的關鍵技術,已經發表數篇高影響係數的學術期刊,期能貢獻吾國實現2050 淨零碳排的目標。
      • ChatGPT 在化工教育上的應用
        傳統上的化學工程課程著重於在課堂上講解基礎知識,解決實際問題的機會較為有限。在轟動全球的大型語言模型-ChatGPT 推出之初,我們隨即引導學生認識ChatGPT 的功能與其局限性,透過案例分析,了解正確的互動與提問方式,善用ChatGPT 的豐富資料庫,提供各種問題的初步分析結果與解答建議,搭配札實的基礎知識,逐步獲致正確結果。透過幾個應用案例,呈現ChatGPT 的特長與使用限制,使化學工程師能正確運用這個劃時代的科技產品。
      • 程序整合與最適化
        典型化工廠中,因製程之需要,常用熱交換器回收可用之熱能,亦常大量採用吸收、氣提等質交換器維持其中之特定成分,如何從整廠觀點,將這些熱傳或質傳設備做有系統的整合以降低設備投資與操作成本並減少對環境的衝擊,就形成了所謂的能量與質量整合問題。以數學規劃法進行程序整合工程研究,進行整廠質與能交換器網路之設計,並達成管末處理、節能、省水、減廢等目標。相關技術目前也應用到整廠用水網路、冷卻水網路、工廠間蒸氣系統最適化、製程中低溫廢熱回收系統設計、複合式電力系統規劃等領域。
