      • 高分子物理
        高分子產物在人類的生活中已成為不可或缺的物質,但由於其結構遠較一般簡單分子複雜,我們對它功能的瞭解及研發的工作,常僅止於經驗式的進行。本研究小組即是利用電腦模擬與統計熱力學的方式,嘗試由微觀層次來研究高分子系統宏觀特性,希望能藉此更進一步瞭解高分子的熱力性質與動態行為。細胞對於材料表面地形的反應:
        研究材料表面的微/奈米地形,對於細胞形態、貼附、生長與分化的影響,以調控細胞行為及應用於組織工程。
      • 含帶電界面之熱力平衡系統
        靜電作用是隨距離一次方遞減的長距離作用,即r-1;該特性使得有關含離子系統的研究,如生物與奈米系統,變得相當棘手。與高分子系統類似,這種系統常需考慮複雜的多體作用。我們著重於以平均場理論初步地瞭解系統的熱力學性質;再以分子模擬的方法探討離子擾動性與相關性對這類系統的影響。
