

第二屆國際奈米科技奧林匹克(INO)的主題是”永續環境”,台灣國家代表隊選拔活動於2020年9月12~14日在臺大尊爵館舉辦, 比賽從”Innovation, Science & Technologies及Business Plan”三個方面來評比.由臺大化工系膜過濾實驗室組成的FEARLESS團隊在童國倫老師的帶領下, 以” Innovative Rapid Temperature Swing Adsorption(RTSA) Process For CO2 Capture”為題參賽,榮獲第三名.出賽同學包含化工系膜過濾實驗室的王朕、陳世翔、李雪菱、賴語柔等四位.獲獎內容為團隊所開發出得一種新穎中空纖維銅管薄膜模組,利用吸脫附的原理捕獲CO2.這種新式模組可以有效利用工廠廢熱來做為模組熱脫附的熱源,團隊將努力加速此技術的商業化,期盼未來能在降低地球暖化衝擊與永續發展方面,為我們的環境保護盡一份心力.[:en]

The 2nd International Nanotechnology Olympiad Domestic Trial was held for 3 days from September 12 to 14, 2020 in Just Sleep at NTU. The theme for the 2nd INO was on environmental sustainability. There is a total of 8 teams from all around the country to compete for the final winner to represent Taiwan for the International Nanotechnology Olympiad which will be held in Oman on Jan 10-14, 2021. The domestic trial is similar to the real INO competition where it includes mixed team challenge, presentation and demonstration of team’s nanotechnology as well as business model. Finally, the winner is chosen based on “Innovation, Science and Technologies, Business Plan”.
It is proudly to announced that Team Fearless which is guided by Professor Tung Kuo-Lun won the 3rd place in this INO domestic trial. Team Fearless is composed of Zhen, Wang, Shih-Hsiang, Chen, Sher Ling, Lee and Yu-Rou, Lai from the Department of Chemical Engineering of NTU. The nanotechnology presented by Team Fearless is about “Innovative Rapid Temperature Swing Adsorption (RTSA) Process For CO2 Capture”. This nanotechnology proposed using hollow copper fiber to replace traditional hollow fiber or copper rod for the adsorption/desorption of carbon dioxide in order to effectively capture carbon dioxide. This module uses waste heat from industrial area as a heat source thus achieving environmental sustainability.
