Q1. Regarding the regulations of the Department services course.
A1: Please take service courses according to the regulations (Service A is limited to freshmen, Service B is limited to sophomores, please choose the class according to your mentor. The class will be divided into first and second semesters). Starting from the 2019 academic year, students must take at least one Service-Learning A. For those admitted before the 2019 academic year and have not taken "Service-Learning I, II, and III", you may take "Service-Learning A" as "Service-Learning I"; and "Service-Learning B" as "Service-Learning II, III".
Q2. May the credits for master’s core courses be deducted if the courses are taken during the undergraduate school year? Will the total graduation credits for master’s degree be reduced?
A2: One can only deduct up to 6 master’s core course credits by taking courses in the undergraduate school year, the person must also be a student of the three-university alliance while meeting the following requirements: (1) Course grade has to reach 70 or above. (2) The course credit will not be counted as undergraduate graduation credits (if you are a student from a foreign school, you should ask your department office to issue a certificate proving the credit has not been processed, apply online and send the paper transcript to our department office, credits can be then deducted.)
Q3:The minimum undergraduate graduation credits are 134. May the excessive elective course credits be deducted for the master class?
A3:Excessive elective course credits cannot be used for deduction.
Q4.What are the course requirements for General Chemistry A and Experiments, Organic Chemistry and Experiments, Analytical Chemistry and Experiments?

Q5. What are the rules for general education courses?

Q6:Is there any grade level restriction for chemical engineering electives?
A6: “U"prefix: optional for both undergraduate and graduate students. "Number"prefix: Electives for undergraduate students. “M" prefix: Electives for graduate students. Please pay attention to the remark columns within the course selection webpage and the course syllabus to see if there is any grade restriction (example: only for senior students or above).
Q7. One needs to obtain 134 credits for undergraduate graduation, including 18 credits of elective courses. What are the available courses?

Q8. May the general microbiology courses offered by the Department of Agriculture and Chemical Engineering be counted as electives?
A8: We recognize and approve of the elective credits taken in other departments for both the first and second semesters. However, the maximum number of credits able to be obtained from foreign departments (with limited department choices) is 9.
Q9. For selected literature readings, B, C, and E, how are the credits determined?
A9: Literature Elective (2 credits), Undergraduate Project B (2 credits), C (1 credit), E (2 credits), one is required to choose at least 1 out of 4 as a compulsory course; the above courses can be credited for at most 5 credits. After the compulsory courses are confirmed, the extra credits will be listed as chemical electives.
Q10. Is the"Engineering Mathematics" of the Department of Civil Engineering equivalent to the "Engineering Mathematics" of this department?
A10: "Engineering Mathematics I, II"offered by the Department of Civil Engineering over summer break must be studied at the same time for the credits to be recognized.
Q11. When compulsory courses are scheduled the same, may the same course in a foreign department be viewed as a compulsory course in this department?
A11: When compulsory courses are scheduled the same and one has to take courses from another department, please fill in the student report sheet and attach the supporting materials for verification. (Note: The title of the course and the number of credits must be exactly the same and the level (such as A, B, C) should be the same or higher.)
Q12. Should one take a full academic year or half academic year of undergraduate project B/E for the credits to be recognized?
A12: Both subjects are 2-credit per semester courses, credits are calculated separately.
Q13. If a student has taken 17 credits of general education, while only 15 credits are required, may the remaining 2 credits be listed as other electives?
A13: According to the regulations, 18 credits are required for chemical engineering electives, 2~3 credits for other electives, and 15 credits for general education courses. Note that the course option for other electives is not limited, therefore, 2 excessive credits of general education courses may be regarded as other electives.
Q14. (Department transfer)-What are the requirements for transferring to the Department of Chemical Engineering??
