演講摘要
In recent decades, smart materials, such as ferroelectric crystals
and shape memory alloys, have been widely used in many applications such as
sensors, actuators and memory devices. The fundamental behavior of these
materials is dominated by their microstructures. In this talk, a numerical
method which can generate possible compatible laminate microstructures and
predict their evolution under the given boundary conditions is introduced. The
results are expected to assist in the interpretation of microstructure
observations and provide knowledge of the possible microstructures that can be
used to design future materials with optimum performance.
