The 2023 Taiwan International Conference on Catalysis was held at National Cheng Kung University in Tainan from June 28th to 30th. The conference was divided into eight sub-themes, including biocatalysis, electrocatalysis, photocatalysis, photoelectrocatalysis, thermocatalysis, computational catalysis, porous materials and reaction engineering, and industrial applications. To encourage young researchers, both oral and poster competitions were held.
Under the guidance of Professor Jeffrey Chi-Sheng Wu, students from our department received awards at the conference. The award details are as follows:
Student Name: Yen-Han Wang
Award: Outstanding Oral Presentation Award
Paper: New viewpoint of magnetic field effect on photocatalytic oxidation of 2-propanol
Topic: Photocatalysis

Student Name: Jui-Chi Hu
Award: Honorable Poster Award
Paper: Hydrophobic h-BN Supported Cu/ZnO for CO2 Hydrogenation to Methanol
Topic: Thermocatalysis

Student Name: Yi Yen
Award: Honorable Poster Award
Paper: High-Efficient Catalytic Plasma Reactor to Decompose Chlorine-Containing Organic Waste Gas
Topic: Thermocatalysis

Congratulations to Professor Jeffrey Chi-Sheng Wu and students Yen-Han Wang, Jui-Chi Hu, and Yi Yen!
