Congratulations to Professor Li-Chiang Lin from our department for being awarded the PCCP Emerging Investigator Lectureship Award!

The PCCP Emerging Investigator Lectureship Award aims to recognize early career scientists in the fields of physical chemistry, chemical physics, and biophysical chemistry, providing them with a platform to showcase their research to the broader scientific community.

 

Details of the PCCP Emerging Investigator Lectureship Award: 

Held annually.

Nominees will be shortlisted and winners selected by the PCCP Editorial Board.

The winner will receive a £1000 grant to cover travel and accommodation expenses for participating in a prestigious international conference and delivering a lecture based on their research.

Shortlisted nominees will be invited to contribute to a themed collection focused on Emerging Investigators. 

Introduction of Professor Li-Chiang Lin:

Professor Li-Chiang Lin earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and conducted postdoctoral research in Materials Science and Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to returning to Taiwan, he served as an Assistant Professor at Delft University of Technology and later as an Assistant Professor at Ohio State University (OSU), where he became the inaugural holder of the Umit S. Ozkan Professorship. 

He currently holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at National Taiwan University (NTU) since 2021. He also serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the William G. Lowrie Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at OSU. 

Professor Lin has received several awards, including the 2022 Outstanding Research Award for Young Professors from the LCY Education Foundation, the 2022 Young Scholar Award from the Taiwan Membrane Society, the 2021 Yushan Young Scholar Award, recognition in the 2021 Class of Influential Researchers – The Americas by I&EC Research, the 2021 AIChE Futures, the 2020 Lumley Research Award from OSU, and the 2019 Triennial Award for Excellence in Publications from the International Adsorption Society. He has also been honored with the highest teaching award from OSU, the 2021 Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching.
