Professor Chueh received this prestigious award for his innovative research in the field of organic and organic-inorganic hybrid semiconductor materials. The SCEJ established this award in 2011 to recognize outstanding scholars under the age of 45 conducting research in the field of chemical engineering in Asian countries. Professor Chueh is the second professor from our department to receive this honor after Professor Dun-Yen Kang in 2020. Professor Chueh will deliver an academic lecture at the SCEJ Annual Meeting in March 2024 and has been invited to publish relevant research papers in the Journal of Chemical Engineering of Japan. His research primarily focuses on the development of solution-processed organic and organic-inorganic hybrid semiconductor materials, studying the relationship between material structure and optoelectronic properties. His foundational research on the fundamental properties of materials extends to various applications in printable optoelectronic devices, such as light-emitting diodes, field-effect transistors/memory, and solar cells.
