Congratulations to Chien-Chi Lin, an alumnus of our department, for being elected as a fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE)

Professor Chien-Chi Lin, an alumnus of our department, has been elected as a fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) in 2024. Professor Lin received a Master's degree from our department in 1998 and went to the United States to obtain a Ph.D. degree in bioengineering in 2007. He is currently the Thomas J. Linnemeier Guidant Foundation Endowed Chair and Professor in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University. Professor Lin was recognized by the AIMBE for his "innovative development of orthogonal cross-linked hydrogel biomaterials and their use in exploring cell-biomaterial interactions and guiding pancreatic cell fate procedures" and was elected as a fellow of the AIMBE. Professor Lin has received many awards, including Wu Chung-Ya Scholarship from National Taiwan University (Taiwan), American Institute of Chemists Postdoctoral Award from University of Colorado (USA), Frontiers in Bioengineering Workshop Young Investigator Award from Georgia Institute of Technology (USA), Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award from the National Science Foundation (USA), Honorary Scientist & Advisor on Agricultural Science & Technology from Rural Development Administration (Korea), Abraham M.
