Amount & Awards

NTD 30,000 per recipient, with 2 recipients this semester.

Eligibility

1.          Eligible applicants: current undergraduate and graduate students in the department who have outstanding academic performance or financial need.

2.          Scholarship categories: Academic Excellence Category, Financial Aid Category (both categories are open for application, and awards will be determined based on the number of applicants each year.)

3.          Conduct Requirement: applicants must have good conduct with no criminal or disciplinary records.

4.          Academic requirements:

Academic Excellence Category: Minimum GPA of 3.38 (or 80 on a 100-point scale) in the previous academic year.

Financial Aid Category: Minimum GPA of 2.3 (or 69 on a 100-point scale) in the previous academic year.

5.          Applicants must not receive other scholarships in the same academic year. Exceptions may be considered with proper documentation and approval.

Required Documents

Applicants are required to fill out the Scholarship Submission Form (Attachment 4) and email it to the responsible staff member at chiench@ntu.edu.tw. Please arrange the application documents in the following order and submit them to Rm. N210, Tseng Jiang Hall North Wing, before the deadline.

A. Academic Excellence Category

  1. Application form (please use the updated version attached).
  2. Declaration form.
  3. Photocopy of transcript from the previous academic year:

    Freshman undergraduate applicants: submit high school senior-year transcript.

    First-year masters students: submit complete undergraduate transcript.

    First-year PhD students: submit complete masters transcript.

    Undergraduate students directly admitted to PhD: submit complete undergraduate transcript.

  1. Photocopy of conduct record certificate.
  2. Photocopy of award and disciplinary record certificate.
  3. List of Publications & First Page of Each Publication (only for published works; submissions under review should not be included. If none, this requirement may be skipped). (Publication list should also be filled in Attachment 4.).

B. Financial Aid Category

  1. Application form (please use the updated version attached).
  2. Declaration form.
  1. Photocopy of transcript from the previous academic year:

    First-year PhD students: submit complete masters transcript.

  2. Photocopy of award and disciplinary record certificate.
  3. Household registration transcript.
  4. Supporting Documents (any one or multiple of the following):

    Latest household income statement issued by the National Taxation Bureau.

    Government-issued low-income or middle-low-income certificate.

    Special hardship certificate (e.g., unexpected family events).

    Proof of student loan or other financial assistance.
