2025 Lam Research Paper Award

Amount & Awards

1.          First Prize for Dissertation: One recipient from NTU each academic year, with a scholarship of NT$100,000 and a certificate of award. NT$50,000 for the advisor.

2.          Excellence Award for Doctoral Dissertation: Two recipients from NTU each academic year, each receiving a scholarship of NT$80,000 and a certificate of award. NT$40,000 for the advisor.

3.          If a winning dissertation has more than one advisor, the prize money for the advisor will be equally divided among the advisors.

Eligibility

Doctoral students currently enrolled in the College of Science, College of Engineering, College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, or Graduate School of Advanced Technology at NTU, as well as graduates from these doctoral programs from the previous academic year, based on the application date.

Application Documents

Applicants are required to fill out the Scholarship Submission Form (Attachment 4) and email it to the responsible staff member at chiench@ntu.edu.tw. Please arrange the application documents in the following order and submit them to Rm. N210, Tseng Jiang Hall North Wing, before the deadline.

1.          The designated scholarship application form (Attachment 2).

2.          An electronic file of the full research paper (either in Chinese or English).

3.          The research paper mentioned in the previous item must be either a dissertation or a paper published in a domestic or international journal or presented at a conference during the applicant's doctoral studies.

4.          An abstract of the research paper (limited to 1,000-1,500 words, including research motivation, objectives, methodology, key findings, etc.).

5.          A recommendation letter from the advisor.

6.          A copy of the diploma or an original certification of enrollment.

7.          A copy of the applicant's identification card.

8.          A declaration form (certifying that the paper has not been plagiarized, does not infringe on intellectual property rights, and complies with relevant regulations).

9.          A list of other published works, if applicable.

Four recipients from NTU each academic year, with each recipient receiving a scholarship of NT$80,000 and a certificate of award.

Eligibility

Second-year master's students currently enrolled in the College of Science, College of Engineering, College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, or Graduate School of Advanced Technology at NTU.

Application Documents

 Applicants are required to fill out the Scholarship Submission Form (Attachment 4) and email it to the responsible staff member at chiench@ntu.edu.tw. Please arrange the application documents in the following order and submit them to Rm. N210, Tseng Jiang Hall North Wing, before the deadline.

1.          The designated scholarship application form (Attachment 3).

2.          An original transcript from NTU for the previous academic year.

3.          An original certification of enrollment.

4.          A recommendation letter from the advisor.
