About the Award-Winning Technology: Professor Wu and the NCKU/CSC team were recognized for their "Low-Carbon Hydrogen-Rich Blast Furnace Ironmaking Technology."
This technology utilizes hydrogen to replace pulverized coal as an auxiliary fuel and reducing gas, combined with Blast Furnace Top Gas Recycling (TGR) technology featuring external carbon looping. By successfully collaborating with China Steel Corporation to implement this technology, the team is assisting the domestic metal products industry from the upstream level, driving the entire industry toward a future of net-zero carbon emissions.
