Scholarship Recipients

Undergraduate and graduate students in the department who are traveling to European and American countries to present papers at international academic conferences.

Amount & Awards

1.          Each awardee will receive either NT$50,000 or NT$100,000. The total funding allocated for this scholarship is NT$250,000 for each half of the year (January-June and July-December), with no fixed number of awardees as long as the total remains within the budget.

2.          This application covers the 1st session of the 2026 fiscal year, with conference dates as follows: January to March.

3.          For co-authored papers, only one author per paper is eligible for the award.

4.          Award recipients must attend the conference in person, may not substitute attendance with another person, may not change to a different conference, and may not use the award for other purposes.

5.          In principle, each awardee may receive this scholarship only once per calendar year.

Eligibility

1.          Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students in our department and be enrolled during the conference period.

2.          “International academic conferences” refer to those hosted by organizations such as the American Chemical Society (ACS), the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), the Materials Research Society (MRS), the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), or other international conferences of similar caliber with more than 500 participants in previous editions.

3.          Only first-time publications are eligible.

3.          Copy of conference agenda (File name: 議程-Name).

4.          Copy of paper acceptance letter or formal invitation letter (File name: 邀請函-Name).

5.          Abstract of the paper to be presented (File name: 論文摘要-Name).

6.          Proof of external funding or a letter stating no external funding (File name: 補助文件-Name).

7.          Any other supporting documents that may assist in the review process (File name: 其它證明-Name).
