I.This process is conducted in accordance with Article 5 of the National Taiwan University Regulations for the Establishment and Selection of the Yee Fong Chemical Chair and Fan-Tsan Chen Chair Professorships.
II. Yee Fong Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd. provides one quota annually for the Department of Chemical Engineering (NTUCHE). The recipient professor will be awarded a grant of NT$300,000, funded by a donation from the company. The goal is to reward outstanding scholars who guide high-tech R&D directions in chemical engineering, elevate academic research standards, and promote technological innovation.
III. Eligibility

Affiliation: Candidates must be full-time Professors or Associate Professors in the NTU Department of Chemical Engineering with distinguished academic performance.

Exclusivity: Recipients of other major awards (e.g., MOE National Chair, National Science and Technology Council Distinguished Research Award, etc.) may not receive this grant concurrently during the period they are receiving those awards.

Publication: Applicants must have published at least one article in an NTU-recognized distinguished journal under the name of NTUCHE within the past five years.
IV. Required Documents

(1) "Fan-Tsan Chen Lectureship" Chair Professorship Application Form.

(2) NSTC Personal Information Forms (Forms C301, CM302, C303).

(3) Evidence of domestic and international recognition (including NSTC grants and other honors).

(4) A brief research plan for the coming year (A4 size, ideally 1 page).

(5) Representative publications from the past five years.
V. Timeline and Procedure

Application Period: From now until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

Method: Candidates may apply personally or be recommended by others.
VI. Term of Office
The term is one year (based on the academic year). Once awarded, the title becomes a lifelong honor, and the recipient will no longer be eligible for future recommendations.
VII. Obligations
The awardee may be invited to serve as a guest lecturer and must present a report on their academic field during the year. Within two months after the term ends, two copies of a final report must be submitted to the Department for record-keeping and forwarded to the donor.
