• Exclusivity: Winners of the "Research", "Creative", or "International Student Research" scholarships (awarded between Jan 1, 2026, and Dec 31, 2026) who simultaneously receive scholarships from other organizations (excluding school or government scholarships) must honestly report this and choose only one to accept. Violations will result in the recovery of the CTCI scholarship. If you apply for multiple scholarships and are notified of winning one, please inform the awarding unit as early as possible to pass the opportunity to other students.

Award Details

• 15 to 30 recipients nationwide
• Each recipient receives NT$150,000 and a certificate
• Each department is limited to one recommendation

Eligibility 

• Students must be in their second year of a doctoral program or higher
• Cumulative grade point average (GPA) for all graduate semesters must be 80 or above (for institutions using a grading scale, applicants must provide a grade conversion table for assessment)

Application Procedure

• Applicants must register via the online application system on the CTCI Foundation website (opening on July 1, 2026) to fill in and upload application documents
• Download the "Full Compilation" (全冊彙整) materials from the online system, print hard copies or output electronic files according to the department's recommendation guidelines, and submit them to the department for recommendation
• The CTCI Foundation does not accept direct applications from students

Required Application Documents 

• Basic Information: Original copy of departmental recommendation form*, application form*, photocopies of both sides of the student ID and national ID card, original transcript of all graduate semesters*, autobiography, at least one original letter of recommendation from a professor (advisor), and original application statement
• Research: Abstract of research thesis and preliminary results
• Outstanding Achievements: Description of participating projects, detailed information on important publications, copies of certificates, awards, patents, etc., and the application and contribution of results to technology, society, and industry
• Other: Other documents or objects demonstrating significant research results

• 7 to 15 recipients (or teams) nationwide
• Each recipient (or team) receives NT$150,000 and a certificate
• No limit on departmental recommendations; applicants apply directly to the CTCI Foundation

Eligibility

• Students in their third year of undergraduate study or higher, or currently enrolled in a master's program (applications may be submitted individually or as a team)
• Cumulative grade point average (GPA) for all academic semesters must be 70 or above (for institutions using a grading scale, applicants must provide a grade conversion table for assessment)
• Must involve designs, promotional materials, or practical applications related to technological innovation and R&D (including prototypes)
• Applicants apply directly; no departmental recommendation required

Application Procedure

Register via the online application system on the CTCI Foundation website (opening on July 1, 2026) to fill in and upload application documents

Submit the following hard-copy materials to the CTCI Foundation by September 10, 2026 (based on the postmark date; late submissions will not be accepted):

• Application Form (downloaded from the "Full Compilation" section of the online system)
• Original transcript of all academic semesters
• Original letter of recommendation from a professor (advisor) (at least one)
• Original application statement
• Affidavit of originality (confirming no plagiarism)

Required Application Documents

• Basic Information: Application Form*, autobiography/team introduction, photocopies of both sides of the student ID and national ID card, original transcript of all academic semesters*, original letter of recommendation from a professor or professional (at least one), and original application statement
• Innovation Project: Creative work description
• Presentation Video: Creative work introduction video (MOV or MP4 format, length limited to 2 minutes, file size up to 500MB)
• Outstanding Achievements: Results from creative club activities in school or domestically, results from international activities, domestic or international creative/invention awards, and domestic or international patents
• Other: Affidavit of originality (confirming no plagiarism)* and other documents or objects demonstrating significant creative results

Eligibility

Graduates or those graduating in the previous term (must be enrolled in the term prior to the application deadline); Cumulative GPA $\geq$ 80; must be working in R&D or tech-related fields (excluding post-docs); not currently receiving the "International Industry-Academic Talent Education Program" subsidy.

Former recipients of the CTCI "Research Scholarship for International Students" (graduates or those graduating in the previous term); must be working in R&D or tech-related fields; not currently receiving the "International Industry-Academic Talent Education Program" subsidy; no department recommendation needed, apply directly.

Procedure

Download the application form from the CTCI website, complete it, and submit the physical documents and electronic files (WORD and PDF) to the department. 

Download the specific application form for former scholarship recipients from the CTCI website, submit a hard copy to CTCI, and email the "download link" of the electronic files (WORD and PDF) to the CTCI contact email. Both hard copy and electronic files must be completed to be accepted.
